Time, and time again.
The group project was focused on the topic of time. Our group had to make a group video and individual video. Time can be portrayed in many different ways; with a clock, Father Time, daily life, and so forth. The group had laid out all the different options and executed a scenario for each.
Something that held strongly for us was the Father Time scenario. We executed a strong script for this with each one of us having a part. The film was going to follow a woman through her everyday life but always too busy to do things. She was a workaholic that doesn't pay attention to the little things or have any fun. We executed different scenes where she ignores her dog, ignores her roommate, declines going out for happy hours at work. Well going through the different scenes father time is always there in the background doing what she could've. It all leads up to her on her death bed regretting what she couldn't do in her life.
The group did reach a bit of a conflict when one person in the group became MIA for a couple weeks and was not responding to texts or coming to class. We were in a crunch time where we needed to film the scenes for our film and we weren't able to without her.
While we were waiting to hear back from her we decided to work on our individual films. My own video focused on my days at work and how over time the animals became more interactive with me. The animal that was focused on for this video was a polar bear named Luna. In the beginning of the film it begins with Luna not being that interactive with myself, shes actually walking away. Then it shows her starting to become more interested in me and comes closer to the window. Another scene shows her try to jump and play with me through the window. The last scene shows her actually jumping up on the window and interacting most overall. There is also a cameo of myself in there to follow along with the guidelines of the video.
Once our other partner on the project was back to class we changed our original plan on executing the video in the Father Time scenario. With the project due soon and not enough time to get together and film and then cut and put the film together we decided to put all of our individual films together in one. We spliced them up and created it to be a 4 minute video about how we each life our own lives in our own 24 hours.
The main goal we were trying to get across was that everyone has 24 hours in a day and that it is up to each person on how they decide to use it.
The experience with the iMovie software wasn't too difficult to understand and to grab the concept was easy. The most prolonging part was the time it took for the application to load on the computer. There was so much work that could've been done in the time it took for iMovie to launch.
Overall the result of this feeling has a proud stance and accomplished feel.
