The Facebook Contract

It was in 7th grade when everyone was really getting into Facebook and it was the “it” thing. MySpace was going out of popularity and Twitter and Instagram were still being developed - at least for another year. For myself, being close to my parents I always asked for permission of certain things. When I decided I wanted to become a part of the “it” thing it came with certain rules and regulations from my parents. My dad made me sign a contract stating that I wouldn’t get below a 84.99% on and science test I took.  This was due to the fact that I was horrible in science and my grade in that class was not the best. The contract had continue to state that if I scored below 84.99% I would have to deactivate my Facebook account until the grade has improved for the next test. My 12 year old self was of course not pleased with having to sign a contract but now I see where my parents were going with this. My dad is also an Information Technology director so he knows the end all be all...
